The council is committed to providing an attractive, accessible, healthy and sustainable transport network.
Our draft strategy sets out how we can support a healthier, greener borough, working in partnership with the local community, the Department for Transport (DFT), and Transport for London (TfL).
The Transport Strategy will:
- improve the safety and accessibility of our streets and public spaces for everyone, especially people walking and cycling
- make it easier for people of all ages and abilities to have a healthy lifestyle
- reduce car dependency in the borough
- improve air quality by reducing emissions
- encourage the use of electric vehicles (EVs), e-bikes and other smart technology
- support growth by improving access to jobs, services and opportunities in Royal Greenwich and across London
- bring our diverse communities together and attract more tourists to the borough.
We want feedback from residents, businesses and community groups to help shape our Transport Strategy.
